ABOUT BIODYNAMIC ASSOCIATION
Biodynamic Agriculture at a Glance
- Biodynamic Agriculture Australia is a not-for-profit association with a governing council and participation by all members.
- We started in 1989 and promote the practice and understanding of the Biodynamic system of Agriculture.
- Some of the successes of Biodynamic farmers are outlined in a 9 September 2001 media
release given by Cheryl Kemp of Biodynamic Agriculture Australia.
- We operate Australia wide and have over 1,135 members and News Leaf
subscribers in over 24 local and regional groups.
- We are a member of the Organic Federation of Australia, and are registered with FarmBis and as a VETAB Training Provider.
- Our journal, News Leaf, is published quarterly.
Our Mission
-
To foster and promote:
- Growth in the number of commercial Biodynamic farmers and an increasing range and quantity of certified Biodynamic produce
for the domestic and international market.
- The application of Biodynamic methods in community cultural activities eg. Biodynamic farming, Biodynamic horticulture,
home gardening and environmental care.
- To establish and support standards for the certification of Biodynamic produce in order to protect the interests of
producers and consumers.
We fulfill this mission by providing...
- Workshops and field days on a local and national level, for beginners and specific groups.
- Biodynamic preparations, and guidelines on how to use and manufacture them.
- Biodynamic Phone Advisory Service.
- Books and guides to Biodynamics.
- Advice to NASAA and BFA on Biodynamic Certification Standards.
