ABOUT BIODYNAMIC ASSOCIATION

Biodynamic Agriculture at a Glance

  • Biodynamic Agriculture Australia is a not-for-profit association with a governing council and participation by all members.
  • We started in 1989 and promote the practice and understanding of the Biodynamic system of Agriculture.
  • Some of the successes of Biodynamic farmers are outlined in a 9 September 2001 media release given by Cheryl Kemp of Biodynamic Agriculture Australia.
  • We operate Australia wide and have over 1,135 members and News Leaf subscribers in over 24 local and regional groups.
  • We are a member of the Organic Federation of Australia, and are registered with FarmBis and as a VETAB Training Provider.
  • Our journal, News Leaf, is published quarterly.

Our Mission

  • To foster and promote:

  • Growth in the number of commercial Biodynamic farmers and an increasing range and quantity of certified Biodynamic produce for the domestic and international market.
  • The application of Biodynamic methods in community cultural activities eg. Biodynamic farming, Biodynamic horticulture, home gardening and environmental care.
  • To establish and support standards for the certification of Biodynamic produce in order to protect the interests of producers and consumers.

We fulfill this mission by providing...

  • Workshops and field days on a local and national level, for beginners and specific groups.
  • Biodynamic preparations, and guidelines on how to use and manufacture them.
  • Biodynamic Phone Advisory Service.
  • Books and guides to Biodynamics.
  • Advice to NASAA and BFA on Biodynamic Certification Standards.
